Or are they backwards, like AU driving.
Interestingly, the US was also a right drive country untill relatively recently.
As late as 1922 you could still buy a new Stutz car in right drive for domestic use.
Next time you see the movie "The Great Race" with Tony Curtis, please note that ALL of the cars are right drive, as they were back then.
All stagecoaches & covered wagons,... in fact all horse drawn vehicles in the US were right drive back in the day. The 'shotgun' always rode on the left.
That canvas covered luggage compartment at the rear of a stagecoach was also called a 'boot'
I know why we drive from the right,[yes, there's a reason] & I know why the 'boot' became a 'trunk' but could never figure out why the US shifted to the wrong side of the car,.. & the road. Very odd.
P.S. The Great Race [New York to Paris] actually took place in 1909 & was won by a 1908 Thomas Flyer. It was eventually found by Bill Harrah [Casino Billionaire] & restored to resemble exactly the pictures taken of it on the day it won the race. It was in his Museum in Reno [?] during the late 70's & it's a right drive car.
