lloks a bit rusted, not sure wether its usable or not, got it extra with the car.
how do I see wether its a pressed propellar or cast propellar?

It's pressed - folded steel.

(The cast ones look like cast iron)

exactly right.
That pump looks perfectly usable. All pumps look rusty after having been used, so the rust color itself is not a problem.


Here's a photo comparison

"Old" (Original pumps) are cast iron. So are new ones from the better brands. But many new ones are the cheaper pressed steel types.

Hmmm ... looks like an E-series water pump (E13/E15/E16)

A12/A14 water pump is sharply pointed on one side
