Chasing the skyline was great........under brakes and cornering the skyline couldn't get away, but down the straights the skyline would increase the gap

A couple of seconds, from memory. Down the straights the skyline would pass me, but under brakes and cornering (as well as i think the skyline driver was a bit timid) the 1200 is a fast little machine.

I love that shot! It's almost comical the disparity in technology between the two vehicles, but the 1200 is right there!

Thats at Wakefield ...turn 2 coming up the hill. That kink in the straight can be a bit unsettling for a car with an unbalanced chassis
