Re: Update May 2010 will bracing struts weaken the surounding steel because of the heat that you put through the mounting lug ,or doesnt it matter because of the thickness of the steel ,oh and those are realy nice welds and what are your plans for these struts ?

Re: Update May 2010 No, the welding shouldn't weaken it although it depends how its done, I think these will be ok.. Its common in rallying to do this, the works Escorts had it in the 70's and call them World Cup Struts.
I did it on these because I changed the angle of the strut tube to the cast stub so that i could get some camber back.
