I think these might look better on the doors they seem more of a door mirror shape, not sure...

I love guard mirrors but just wished they where setup
with highly charged electrocution taser like zaps when
people got close to them.
Just powerful enough to blow an old ladys dentures
straight off her gob :)

Maybe I have been lucky, But to date I have not had to re-adjust my fender mirrors. Its been approx 2 years since I installed them. Maybe since the design is differnt to the others i see installed, mine are rather hard to adjust and require a bit more force to move them.

I put them on the doors in the end, limited visability though. Might have to move them forward a bit.

I reckon they look greater if you just angle the mirror
out a little away from the bonnet line. Its really looking
good Levs!
Oh how I wished I had a 1200 2 door sedan with a Z18 or fj20.

I think those ones will probably look better on the doors [as you already stated]. IMO if you are going to fit fender mirrors, go to the trouble of getting the correct factory ones. I think you would be happier with the end result. They can be found and are not too expensive. e.g a bought a spare genuine rhs side B110 GX fender mirror (new) for $45 delivered.

If genuine parts are not possible, then these would not look too bad and could be a close second. fender mirrors

cheers

They are just sitting there D, I think as Benny said GX style mirrors would be better for the fenders.

Well they will look good on the doors for sure.
Much more practical too as Ive gotten tired of
idiots getting their clothing or knocking my
guard mirrors when they venture to close.
In Japan people have more etiquette when it comes
to other peoples properties or cars but here
every drunk and old hag go out of their way.

#OOPS#in' oath! that's happened to me alot, I'm looking at taking them off altogether maybe just settle for the little wing mirror off the door frame.

The rule I go by is; if there is a short distance between the actual mirror and it's base then it's intended for the door. If there's a longer/larger distance between the mirror and it's base then it belongs on the guard.

I was about to mention how much of a pain the bum guard mounted mirrors are too. I have them on my 1000 and they constantly get bumped meaning you either need someone to adjust them while you sit in the seat or get in and out of the car several times until they are right.
