im heaps surprised at how long datsun engines will go for till they poo themselves...i once knew a 1200 ute which had done 470,000km's...it blew smoke but ran alright...i wonder...

My car had the same engine in it from 1971 when I bought it in 1998. And that engine ran until 1999 and flogged the absolute crap out of it doing full time pizza deliveries...
The odometer clocked over two weeks or so after I got it.
I am not sure if had already clocked over before that though...

yes,i agree,you haven't really lived until you've been in a 900 kilo car with an asthmatic 1200 cc car with 400,000 k's on the engine,like the sunny coupe i'm driving now. .i do like the air cleaner,though,almost looks like a hard hat.

Are you allowed to modify your engine in Greece? or are you 'restricted' because of smog laws?

Yes.The cleaner has a clamp under the

Surely this is not the air cleaner form the legendary 12 second, but dead stock A12.

It's realy good at low rpm but when you travel
it makes noise.
Anyway I love it.
