Re: Factory injection yeh the coils are behind the battery as is the igniter.they aren't after market, they are from a hyundai lantra (coils+igniter)the crank trigger is from an EL ford falcon(aus) had to make a mount for the cramk angle sensor and the and pulse ring for the crank that was then controlled by the computer, it's not pretty but it works!they aren't that much more 120kg i think

Re: Factory injection I'm just imagining it all polished up with custom plumbing, chrome, braided lines & anodised fittings,........ in my KB10.
Damn you man, you put ideas in my head that i can't afford. I have a Hemi to build instead. Perhaps i will look at whats available in aftermarket TBI to use as carb replacements on my GX inlet manifold at a later date. Chris

Re: Factory injection B120Dat ANY money spent on a hemi is NEVER wasted. My engine is only the second known example of this particular model in Australia. I like the rarity. Don't wory, the Datsun won't be left behind.

Re: Factory injection 1200rallycar, You are wrong, they are not worth AU$1000, whoever told you this is dreaming. Also, you dont need the AFM to get this set up working, just blank it off and mount a cold air sensor in the inlet tube between the TB and the air filter. Then mount a water temp sensor in the thermostat housing, wire the whole thing to an aftermarket computer and run and tune the system to run open loop. In other words dont use a sensor head in the exhaust. That way you can map the computer how ever you want without the restriction of a closed loop system. Sorry to be so blunt re your sale price

Re: Factory injection If you can get them for under $1000 let everyone know, I am sure they will be snapped up quickly ( when things are hard to get, the prices go up)
On an aftermarket computer you dont need an AFM if you use a Map Sensor ( usually mounted inside the computer) All computers use water temp sensors, air temp sensors are not a necessity for operation. Oxygen sensor is required for closed loop operation. Closed loop doesnt restrict any program map from operating. Closed loop only works at cruise anyway just like on factory computers.
Cheers Steve
