Noltec part number N44016S.

Negative camber, positive castor?
Have i got that right? So in this position the camber gets more negative (heaps) as the wheel turns?

$380 i got 'em for (440 is what Noltec said is retail)... started looking/calling around after the 'negative camber' thread on here. Thought these were the best and they gave the most adjustment. I am concerned that they may move though after they're fitted. We'll see.

if i can remember correctly, with adjustable caster arms you're pulling the lower control arm end forward,so with the adjustment strut tops, you'd want the adjustment as far back as possible, like neg camber, neg castor.that's if this was on the left hand side of the car,if it was on the right hand side,it would be correct.so,is it keft hand side or right hand side?

youve got the camber right but you want the sphericial bearing to be as far towards the firewall as possable - more +ive caster = good. so it should be sitting further up in this pic. The next thing to do is rose-joint the bottom arm for even more adjustment.

Thankx for that jack
I suppose it depends on the mating surfaces between the retainer ring under and the bearing plate.
If they were peined a bit it would help.
Although there is quite a good surface area to hold.
I would like to see nylocks holding it together too.

Look really nice, pity they won't work, because there ain't enough room inside the strut tower to allow the full range of movement.

Nylock would also be a bad idea as they are a once only component, you'd have to throw them away very time you made an adjustment.

Might work OK on a p510.

Datrats stuff looks like it might actually work, bit more expensive, less adjustment, but at least it'll work in the b110, b210

I was thinking the same myself there aint much room in the 1200 strut tower. I wonder how much adjustment you actually could get out of them. My guess would be about half of maximum (as shown)

RE: room for adjustment.
I thought about that and didn't think i'd need 100% of the adjustment but thought there'd be enough room for what i needed.
OR
There's the grinder.
OR
It'd be pretty simple to sort out some arrangement to have the whole Noltec bit on top of the strut tower sheetmetal. I'll discuss this more when or if i need to do it.

RE: animated gif.
Yeah considered uploading them like that but thought it'd be over the kilobyte limit unless it was tiny (pixel-wise).

 Re: Adjustable Strut top
Just trim the sections of the centre plate that are hanging out.....then you will get plenty of adjustment.

I installed some Noltec strut tops in the Sunny just prior to teh Datnats..they were for a 1200 - go figure...they didn't have Specific Sunny ones ;). They needed some trimming to get them in, bothe the outer an inner plates were trimmed to fit the sunny and to get max camber and castor.

Great strut tops though.... easy to use and adjust.
