You would have to be crazy to block the vents in front of the windsceen if you lived in Australia. But very nice engine bay! It's a toyota motor?

is that a fj20 det? how come these engines have the spark plug leads at the top of the engine?

It's a Toyota 3TC, with a niiice turbo

Hate to see it in a 1200, though. Especially when it'd look so much better in my Corolla.

what size is a 3TC? 1.8? r they the sportivo turbo enignes out of the new corollas?

The 3tc is the hemi copy crossflow engine from toyota from the early 70s. Its bottom end is FJ20 in strength and the top is an alloy hemi design that loves boost like a keith black.
All with pushrods and 700+hp achieved commonly in Puerto Rico.
The engine design Nissan should have made as another option in the 70s for the L series.

Copy of what?

BMW had a six-cylinder pushrod hemi head design from the 1930s, from which came the famous Bristol engine. Did Toyota copy them? Or were they just inspired to use a similar design?
