Imagine if they used the two left over 1200 halves and made another one... the ute front and coupe end

I'm guessing it's possibly a cut 'n shut using a coupe & longbed ute rather than a stretched ute with coupe doors.

OK blokes, who's got a photo editor that can shorten the bed, but leave the rest, so that we can get a look at the alternative version of this ute. I suspect that it would look purdy damn good.

Looks almost like a JDM longbed.

Were these marketed in OZ or NZ?

 Re: coute
but compare the length of the doors and height of the roof in the 2 pics, thats where it gets tricky

 Re: coute
So are the stock coupe doors actually shorter or is this thing chopped too? I think it would look awesome with those long doors but with a stock rood height.

P.S. Thanks for posting this pic 1200RC I was looking forward too it.

 Re: coute
yeah coupes have a shorter roof than utes and sedans, but you can change the door tops it would just be a case of figuring out where to cut the floor and roof ect

 Re: coute
This looks even longer than the long bed ute. And only the ute part I mean. like the tray...

I could be wrong.
I sitll like it though. Very cool.

 Re: coute
Some serious custom coachwork! The roof seems to slope downward toward the rear. Also, the "opera window" frames are positioned at a lesser degree of angle (ala coupe style).

Anyway, a whole lot of work for something this subtle. If it was me, I'd think of some way to increase the legroom, if I was going go through all that trouble.

 Re: coute
That's what's been done... the cabin is now longer (more leg room) as a result of the coupe door.

 Re: coute
You are speaking for me too...

It's just too long.

The combination of the long doors and the long bed is just too much.

 Re: coute
I agree that the long bed makes it look out of proportion. It may be the photo but it looks bent too, with the stainless trim strip on the sill bending up behind the door. The roof curves down to meet the rear window but it would look better if it was squared up more like the utes. I like the idea of a longer cabin space cos I find the interior a little cramped for me. By the way I like the name "Coute" it suits it .

I dont like it either...It looks 2 much like a crapy old FORD ute!! On the subject of 1200 utes there was in todays paper 4 $450 with no reg and bad damage on right hand side Do ya reckon that is too expensive??
