a CA18det of course, note no booster, he reckons it doesnt need it, even after driving it around the circuit the next day, though he has drums on the back, maybe with 4wdisc it is required???

For a hot day, he managed 137 kW at the wheels, I expect that it would normally get about 160kW at a cooler temperature. Maybe he was nervous to run high boost in the heat.

I was surprised it didn't get more power. With the custom throttle body and custom exhaust manifold.

A booster is never "required". It absolutely won't help the car stop any better. All it does is decrease pedal effort. It stops the same with or without it.

Did he just get this together, or does he not care about detail work?

Anybody recognize the t.b. & extension/adapter? Is it off a Mazda or something?
