way toooo expensive for my wallet. but that is polished aloyminium. we got some stuff like that at work on one of the machines and the boss said it was polished.

Is that the new Jaguar? It has 100% aluminum frame (a first for a production vehicle). So I'm thinking this isn't paint but rather polished aluminum body panels. You would need a clearcoat over that to keep it from oxidizing. The drawback would be that the panels would dent quite easily.

Yea, its not paint. I don't even think it's polished aluminum. To me, it looked liked the hole car was chromed.

edit- Actually, it could be aluminum. There is a thin strip on the bumper that would normally be chromed. It seems a little darker that the rest.

One problem...The bumper should be made from plastic

It will be a paint of some sort.
I don't think even Jag/Ford would tool up to make one off alum bumpers to repalce the plastic ones.
I want to know what, so have pinched a copy of it and will check out the paint reps and get them to try and find out what? how? when? who? where? and why I haven't got any.

hmm too bad it's also illegal in Aus to have a car with that much reflection...too much of a visual and traffic harard
