Yes, It's the genuine article....
A very expensive lesson learned the hard way.
Filler came off drysump tank. Lots of air in with oil. Run bearing (badly) on nitrided crank.. The oil light never even came on, it was still making 40psi with the air in there....
Aside from it's initial value of around $2k, I then added around $600 in stress relieving, grinding, straightening and crack testing in a vein attempt to save it.....

It keeps the side door from blowing shut in my garage these days.....

Ouch!!!!!

That's one expensive door stopper, and a waste of a great bit of gear.

Did you buy that from Reg a couple of years back? I sold him an FJ24 crank back then.

yup, this one came from Reg. I suspect your one went in a speedway car. He built a couple of 2.2 motors a year or two back..
I've just been running a turbo crank in the 2 litre for the last couple of seasons, I keep the revs under 8500 and havent had any problems.
The rods are a bit heavy to rev it any higher..
