Hey 1200rc, is the 1000 diff housing narrower than the coupe one?


See...Dodgey..I can call a spade a spade..although I do admit to calling a spade a shovel sometimes..

All communication forms have efficiency algorithms applied to improve throughput. This is achieved by aliasing in context, using compression techniques and reserved words. English is far too "arty" for my liking, but being born in Australia, I wasn't given many choices.

Maybe I've spent too much time on babelfish converted Japanese Datsun websites..you learn to be a living thesaurus.

The 1000 $ 1200 diferentials will interghange between rear axle housings, except, of course, the H165 ute one. I have a 1200 diff, with the standard 3.9 to 1 ratio, in my 1000 sedan.
I have occasionally wondered if the 1200 ring & pinion can be used in the alloy 1000 diferential housing, but i suspect not.
I plan to put it to the test someday, but not just yet.

the 1000 housing is narrower, i can measure em if you like?
