Now that looks to be the same knob as the factory 1000 coupe "sports option" one that i have. The diference of course is the 5 speed pattern instead of the 4 speed one on mine.
The "plasticwood" matches the steering wheel rim.

any idea if these are available in Australia ? I'm after one, or at lease the little silver disc with the shift pattern on it

Probably not, I can get you the part number if it helps. I got one off Yahoo Auctions Japan (new in box), a few months back.

If you want just he disc on top, you can buy those from like autobarn and stuff as a badge with sticky back. Like the badge in the centre of steerings wheels and stuff...
