Hey datto fans could anyone offer some advice on how to stop a leak in my boot??? It seems to be coming in from the three small air vents on either/both sides of the rear pillars drips onto the tyre arches then on to the floor. any advise on how to fix this or where to start would be a great help thanks.

i dont think it would be the vents, more likely the boot lid seal, but probably the rear window seal, a bit of silicone added to the rubber on the bottom corner of the rear window usually does the trick

Most people go straight for the boot seal, but like 1200RC wrote, the rear window seal can be the culprit.

My version of repair is to have the seal examined by a professional. If it is gurked, then replace it. If it is still good, & you believe that this is where the water is coming in, then have the whole thing removed, cleaned & resealed.
Two methods,.....take your pick.

hmmm $165 for a new rear window seal, $10 for enough silicone to clog every hole in the car

i know which one i like, but dodgemans probably right, i always think of the budget solution first

just wish silicone could fix those bloody quarter windows on the front doors, they always leak too

The boot seal and window rubbers are new i dont think the boot seal is the prob. The front window is being sealed tomoz by a pro so i think ill just get him to do the back aswell that way if it still leaks ill have to do something about the vents.... Yes my drivers side quarter window leaks abit too very frustrating but i love them ohsoo much!
