A friend of mine is doing up a 1600, its totally off this planet so farr its taken 2 and a 1/2 years every nut and bolt has been done. Its got the good old fj20 turbo, rocker exhast and block have all been coated in chrome ceramic paint. Motec comp full cage sparco seats GTR skyline brakes actually too much to list here so ill take some pictures as soon as he lets me. but the best thing is that he has bought a set off mag wheels off me. They are called the OZ Crono i bought them about 5 or so years ago for my series IV RX7. I got them made up in italy and had them imported they are 17 by 7" (i think) I wish i had the time and resourses to put them on my DAT but saylahvee. at least ill see them in my neighbour hood and know that they will be looked after as i reckon they are the bestest mag in the world. (sorry I just really lovem) I think they are also the mags they use on the holden V8 super cars... (without the center nut). What do you think?? |

Re: A little off topic... wheels look great, but would make a little 1200 look like a Toyota Hilux !

Re: A little off topic... sometimes im very tempted to redo the brake setup, for something 5-stud, just for the wheel options it opens up
but if i was i'd be getting pretty serious with alloy 4-spots instead of cast being a high priority, hmmm, got me thinking, could be a skyline style brake setup on the way for me,
oop, now that i've woken up i've realised that ain't in the budget until CA18 days

Re: A little off topic... Yeah... a five studd conversion hubbs and brakes would have been nice and possibly in my price range but due to their size i think my car would have had too have been tubbed front and rear to fit them in and get the turning space..... well out of my budget but its nice to dream of those lovley 17eens onit.
