its even smaller than the 1000 ute, the guy who owns this is the person i bought my ute from. the mini is one of 4 original mini ute imported into the country as a trail that never went onto full local importation

100/70 pixels in 300dpi 24bit uncompressed, is not the best way to share photos. I know you've been having problems (MAC software related). Use some JPEG Compression, and keep at least 640x480. 72dpi is regular monitor granularity..not a bad place to aim for for online photos.

DPI is irrelevant. Unless you want to specify a fixed size (like 3 x 5 inches), but even so you have no idea what kind of monitor the viewer will have. Most are 72dpi, BUT what physical size is the screen? And what resolution is the user forcing on it? Better just to forget about DPI and aim for some arbitrary pixel size like 480x320 or 640x480.

dattodude, 640x480 is big, we gotta scroll back and forth to see them due to the left-side bar on this page. For you guys with large monitors using 1024x768 and broadband Internet, sure it looks good for you! But for us guys with 800x600 and dial-up connections ... and lest tech industry workers forget, 800x600 is still the most common end-user resolution right now.

Re: And you thought the 1200 ute was small
in photoshop i just found an option 'save for web' its just what i needed, it lets me create an image to the exact proportions i want and lets me reduce quality so i can keep it just below 100K, also lets me pick format....

Thanks for all the help

Henry

And now here it is 2017, and the club allows uploads of 200k and most people have broadband and 1366x768 or higher screens (even on laptops). JPG photo of 1024x768 usually are less than 200,000 bytes (200k bytes)

I agree, the PICTURE is smaller than any other I've seen on the club lately.
Small picture indeed.
