Hey D, this stuff is aluminium heat sheild. Very expensive (about $250 a square metre) but brilliantly pliable and remarkably heat resistant. I was concerned with the heat soak from the extractors, so covered the inlet manifold and the extractors as well.

it is basically made up of 5-6 sheets of honeycombed aluminium, pressed together (about 2mm thick). Great stuff

wat is the sensor thing coming off the manifold, boost gauge? i am thinking electronic send for boost gauae coz u couldnt run fuel air mix through a boosted air line into the car?????
