This is my engine as it is today in the coupe, it's run great since 1996 and runs high 15 seconds in the quarter mile.  It's making way for the SR20DET.  Watch for this engine in the future (2-3 years?) for turbo/EFI.

did it make much difference to the cold start to have the chokes hooked up?my first 1200 had a single 45 dcoe & the choke hooked up,but it was only really used in the dead of winter.i suppose japan gets extremely cold at times.looks like the same sort of universal choke cable i had, too.

Yeah the chokes work pretty good, although if I'm driving the car every other day I don't really need it. That universal choke cable was on the car when I got it, and it sticks a lot. Best thing to do is a trick my dad showed me; get a piece of clear plastic tubing for the choke cable to just fit inside of, pour some oil in the tube before installing the choke cable, and then put the choke inside the tube. The choke will work totally effortlessly for years and years and won't rust either!

the blue bar between the strut towers is a strut brace, it is just there to tie the suspension together abit more to help the handling
