Re: My big crank... hmm maybe not from a postie bike. It came from a 6 cyclinder cummins truck engine, diesel of course. I think its about 500ci from memory. Its damn heavy, like two peole cant lift it and the flywheel which is welded on the bottom to stand it up. When I moved it from the shed, I tipped it onto a trailer, and then moved it to the location is is noe, and stood it there. I havent shifted it in about 2 years, and I dont plan to...

Re: My big crank... well thats where it gets a but funny. As I couldnt find anything to put on the top for a box, I have have to move it back about 2 metres from wgher the letterbox should be and built one form limestone. The lime stone looks fancy, but it wasnt what I wanted. When i get someting for the top, I might move it the 2 metres forward. Its abut a 3-4 person job though. Anybody got any ideas for the top. Mechaniahlly orientated prefered. I thought about gutting a gearbox, but that was going to be too hard i thought.

Re: My big crank... unforunatly I didint get anything else with the crank besides the block and the camshaft. I couldnt get the cam out and the block is elsewhere in the garden. I cant move it so it is gonna stay there and add some iron to the soil.
