That is the worst rust to fix in a 1200.

It'd hard to get to, and hard to fix. There is a lot of factory "drip-check" all over the place, and it interferes with the welding.

Good luck. Both of my sedans have perfect waterboxes, I learned to look for that when buying a good project 1200. My first 1200 used to give me wet feet everytime it rained. Meaning I drive around in a foggy nightmare, risking car accidents regularly in the mid to late 90s.

It's hardly rained at all for the past 4 years here in Sydney, so having a leaky Datsun would be ok.

looks exellent mostly straight & rust free. its hard to find an origanal 1200 in that good condition , congradulations (or how ever that word is spelled)
