Made up a little battery holder and welded it all in. Its a nice snug fit the batery is rated 650cca and is half the weight of my old one.

If it's going in a race car, it doesn't need to be covered.

 Re: New Odyssey Battery
how much was it?, doesnt the battery need to be fully contained, or is this a sealed battery making it exempt from that rule?

I Paid just under $200 for it. Its only a race car for the moment if I ever get it back together. If I do decide to rego it ill have to make a few small changes The battery is a totaly sealed unit with steel casing that is impact resistant.

Thanks Chris Ive pretty well fine tuned the new mig welder Im really happy how its coming along.
I started to paint the inside with a brush after I primed and sanded all the bare metal bits. I think I might try to spray the inside with enamel should get a much better finish.
Andrew

PS: how's the Pulsar going is it fixed yet?

Yep got it back on Saturday. They did a 99.5% perfect job.

It's good enough. I'm happy to have a car back.

My Datto was supposed to be getting close to be finished with the painter this weekend, but I don't believe him anymore.

Cheers
