Re: Big Vented Disks Does "holden" and "verada" translate into anything in the US?

Re: Big Vented Disks Caliper is HZ holden PBR alloy. You won't find it there is a domestic car only. Diamante is what you guys call Magna/Verada I think..........or thats what I think they were called when I was there. Mitsubishi anyway. Evo 1-3 lancers run the same discs

Re: Big Vented Disks Those "early" Holden calipers can't be too early as they seem to be made of aluminium [aloominum]. What model are they from? The rotors also look good. I am not too savy about the Mitsubishi Magna "Verada" bolt pattern. I don't even know if they are 4 or 5 stud, so a little background would be much appreciated.
Angello If he lets us in on what the brake calipers are, we can determine if they are of local Australian manufacture, or if they are from a GM "world" car model The Magna Verada is made here, but it may simply be a local version of another world car. It uses the transverse V6 engine layout. Can anyone help out here?

Re: Big Vented Disks The mitsubishi verada disks are ordered from DBA brakes australia, just ask for blanks (no stud holes) vented and slotted and cross drilled if u want (but i obviously didnt heard they crack or weakens the disk or something) Its not over yet you now have to use a brake lathe to make the diameter of the disk fit whatever calipers you have.
But remember the disk is now more than twice as fat so the caliper has to fit over this mine are off a kingswood dont know what model (to find out i would have to take a d/pad out and match it with something at a shop and i wont be doin that till i have to change the pads sorry)
The bolt holes for the caliper are a perfect match.
You will also notice that the struts (which are stanza by the way) have been swapped from left to right so theres room for the steering linkages.
Also you will need 15" rims or bigger to fit over this change.
This was my first amature front end build and took a while but now im very hapy with the result
