 Re: 130Y
I can't tell if i have seen one before because i can't see it now. I'm sure it would make a great stamp though.

When i was at the DatNats in Goulburn i saw an L series engine with '1300' cast into the cam cover. I was not aware that a 1300cc L series ever existed, but it looks like they did.
What engine did these 130Y's use?

yeah, I have a workshop manual for the early L13, L14 and L16 engines. They all share the same block casting with the L18, all 83mm bore with different strokes. I think the L13 and L14 share the same rods, L16 and L18 rods got progressively shorter because of the longer strokes and deck height restrictions of sharing the same block.

There is a guy on the Gold Coast with a beige coloured 1600 2dr and 15" performance challengers on it, with the original L13 block in the car with L18 internals. It may actually have been the car you saw - he went to Datnats. Although its been so long since I saw the car that I can't remeber what rocker cover it had...

How do you get a picture so small? No cameras take pictures that small do they?

It looks like it might be a Sentra or Micra/March. Maybe it has the CG13 engine.
