hi nice swap there ! my stock tacho occasionally-rarely will not work(needle doesnt move), until i stop and start the car, with the key.

since using the celica one have u ever had that - or has any1 else with a stock tacho ?

Stock 1200 tachs are rare as in the USA. Celica tachs are easier to find.

The screen at work is terrible... Does it have one of those orange needles that go to your highest rev type thing?

Yeah, as soon as you remove the non-Datsun parts from yours, I'll remove the Celica tacho.

Lobster, it only has one needle there is no tell-tell or peak reference needle. But it does have a "fasten your seatbelt" light!

Dman, I don't know about the speedometer. The tach has three bolt holes, but only two line up. This Celica unit is actually about 3mm bigger in diameter, but you wouldn't known it at first glance.

Forgive my bluntness, but ignorant people dont wire them up correctly.

The 1200 tachos are a bit rare in some parts, this is why other tachos are used.
