This is borrowed equipment, but when I can afford some of my own I will probably do a similar installation, probably with a better shaped sub box. This will definitely do in the meantime though!

Just thought you guys might like to see how I solved the problem of fitting a sub box in the back, and and still being able to access the spare wheel well.

As you can see from the pics, we hinged the front corner so that when the rear seat is forward, the box can be tilted and even laid down completely to give access to open the cover. The amp also sits neatly in the area forward of the cover, so that's not a problem.

Oh and please ignore the shoddy job on covering the sub box, we were in a hurry and plan to neaten it up later.

Nice work! Good to see another 1200 with a sub With my install in my coupe I can slide the sub and 6x9 unit back with the back seat down, so the spare can be accessed. I like the carpet work in the back too.

Good Job... Have you thought of attaching the box to the rear seat so that when the seat folds forward, the box goes too to you only have to move 1 thing to get to the spare... I only ask as I did that on a previous install and the client was thrilled... Good to see you have thought about the install and not just thrown it in...

hmm, love to know how you attached it to the seat, its pretty flimsy???

seeing that floor of the boot all carpeted like that makes me wish i never took my board out, that looks awesome like that
i cut or bent a lot of the mounts for the floor too unfortunately

dammit now im gonna be rearranging my boot again, does a decent size spare tyre (195 or so) fit under the false floor?

oh yeah and you should build a parcel shelf for that, looks much better, gives you somewhere to put speakers and hides the stereo in the boot
