This one also looks to be a '70. The tandem master cylinder was not used in Australia in non coupes, but all coupes had it. They dont get too much more stock than this.

My parts book says that the tanden cylinder was used on "Coupe & England OP R Drive 4 Speed Exc Pick-Up"
In Australia, even the early non coupe 1200's has single circuit brakes.

Then why does my 73 sedan have twin master cylinders and it's still original ??
Never mind I just worked out that it's a 1000 .Geez I'm dopey sometimes DUUUHH

Your 1973 Datsun would be regarded as a late 1200. The first six months to a year of Aust 1200 sales had a single circuit cylinder, & yes, its a 1970 "model" Datsun 1000 in the picture. These were built from about July to December of 1969 from all acounts.
