Yes the 1200 is a masterpiece in its own, However dodge this is a race car.

I dont know, i never got to see 1200 or any datsuns racing on tv growing up as im only 20. But when i see a Falcon or commy racing in bathurst, dropped on its guts, breathing fire out its exhausts (exiting half way down the side of the car i might add), flared guards, coolers galore, and huge wheels and brakes, i see a race car.
On the street a SS commy or XR6/8 look OK in standard trim, but they transform on the race track. Exactly what Bobs 1200 has done, a mean track 1200

Good on you Bob, Flare the front too just to piss em off.

Yes, i had another look & you're right, it IS a race car, with no visible No. plate, on a race track[?], not that this has anything to do with anything, but so are a number of other cars that we frequently see on this site, including CA18DET_man's. & these cars all look good without looking like someone went crazy with body restyling,.. to my eyes at least.

I also mentioned that i was expressing a personal view, as i assume, were you. I didn't suggest that anyone should do anything for the sole & express purpose of irritating others,[pi** em off].... why did you find it necessary to do this?
After all, we are all only expressing an opinion.

Maybe you didn't notice the little smiley thingys , it was the frist time ive used them, and should have been considered a friendly stir up.
Also i dont act for any company, body or organisantion so it can be assumed that i am expressing a personal veiw on all my posts.

Lighten up Dodge. I'm into Datsuns for fun, I study law just to pass the time.

By the way i love the standard 1200, but look how good it can look on roids.

No qualms

I gotta admit that i am not a fan of the pumped panels either.
Part of the beauty of these cars was in the fact that the stylists got it right. The buying public thought so too, thats why these things were so popular. Drasticly altering the basic line, in my view, does not improve the apearance, quite the opposite in fact, but in this case it seems to serve a purpose.

Flares would seem to be less costly & less work, with a better visual result, but like i said, thats just my view.
