That's Tassie down at the bottom, just across the mainland from the Philip Island racetrack ... Remember, ACT is the area around Canberra, and for comparison, Melbourne is at nearly the same latitude as Castro Valley, USA.

Australia has a very similar land mass as the 'lower 48' states of the US. If you measure across a map of the US about 1/3rd inland from the west coast, then draw a vertical line from Canada to Mexico, you will get a rough approximation of Western Australia. That's just one state.
Missouri fits into our smallest mainland state, Victoria, about twice.

Across the top there were cattle properties that were bigger than some European countries [Victoria River Downs was bigger than Belgium in the 1920's through to the '50's & 60's] & of course, when driving in country areas, you need to be carefull of the 'Outback Mice'

Those Outback mice can do a LOT of Damage to a fast moving small Datsun.

wow that's convenient: your food hops down the street!

interesting the "great artesian basin" where certain rivers pour into the desert to form a gigantic underground aquifer

makes up about 1/5 of the continent

The cool people are on the far left. Perth. The most remote capital city in the world.
And we like it that way.

now i know for as fact that you are confusing yourself into soem sort of crazy self deinal scheme, the cool people are not shown on this map, but they are located on a piece of land to the fa farr right of this map, across that little piece of sea.

I see most of you guys live near the sea.
Does'nt it cause things to pick up rust quickly?

For example your Datsuns?

Here in South Africa things tend to rust quickly near the sea.

1200GXman everyone lives around the coast because if you move inland you have to drink your own poo water, and as Poowoomba proved, we dont like that
