1972 North American (LHD model) 1 - Tach terminals on back of speedometer (for factory tachometer) 2 - Green wire to Hazard flasher 3 - Blue wire (always hot) for optional Clock. This is originally taped to the harness with blue tape 4 - To turn-signal/Hazard switch on steering column 5 - To headlight Dimmer switch on column |

Re: 1972 North American dash wiring (left side) Warning buzzer is for the "Fasten Seat Belt" buzzer. For 1972-73 there is also a lamp on top of dash. Switch is grounded through the driver's door switch.

Re: 1972 North American dash wiring (left side) Any suggestions on how to wire the tachometer? I think I can use the blue wire and the two factory tach terminals on the speedo housting.
Tach in picture is a first-gen Celica unit. It is held in by the two factory screw-holes near speedometer (not seen in photo). The screw holes on the visible side do not line up. Wiring is as follows: Yellow - to coil '-' terminal Black - ground others - lights in tach
