Twenty one years later & you're still driving one of these. What does that tell us about how good these cars are.

I think that this might be the car in Ddgonzal's current avitar. If it is, then it died from an overdose of corrosion, so it just might be rust that you can see.

Absolutely no rust in those days. The photo has some lines in it.

But around the left-side tail light there is a dirty area. That was soot from the exhaust pipe. Maybe it wasn't getting 38mpg that week ...

Same car, eight years later the same car had much rust. Those of you that live next to the saltwater know how fast it can happen. The water in the photo here is a mixture of salt and fresh (taken at mouth of the Columbia). I actually lived within view of the Pacific.
