 Re: CA-18 2 Dr
I always wondered what a 1200 done in a dark green looks like, now i know and it looks fantastic...
I reckon more people should be jumping on the dark green band wagon as like british racing green and the alike look classic and great when done well!

This car is beautiful, and is it a genuine GX? Different how hes got the rear exhaust in the middle with oval shaped tip (like off the commodores )

Any more pics?

Dave

Naw, I haven't got any more pics... I haven't seen him or the car for ages.

Yeah, he did pick up another 2 door. Now he owns the only 2 in Adelaide!

 Re: CA-18 2 Dr
If i remember rightly, the GX version was available only on the coupe & four door sedan, so this would not have been a GX originally.
I hope that he does the same sort of thing to his second two door, ie, restoring it to street duty, thereby assuring it of a chance at a long life, instead of condemning it to a relatively short life as a racer. While this model is quite common in many countries, it is quite rare here in Australia with something like nine examples at best.
Building a racer from a coupe or four door would help prevent the two door clan from losing one more member. [which equates to about 11% of the population]

Yes, very nice.

I don't see any GX-type trim on this car (blackout rear panel, GX emblems or anything). Like Dman says, only 4-drs and coupes came in GX trim.

Either way, the dark color and the chrome do look nice together.
