This is the left side of my Datsy A15 engine, notice  her fancy home made air intake system. It may look funny, but it gave Datsy much more performance.

I'm guessing it's a whole Vanette engine, complete with it's "aircon" water pump assembly. I want one of those for my 1000, but i don't know if there is enough room to fit it.

My A15 with this rocker cover is an import from old Datspeed when they were around. The papers that came with the engine said 84 Vanette. It was carbie with air-con and power steering. That carbie top hat pictured originally had the arrow pointing back towards the photographer and a pipe running to an airbox located under the passenger seat ( RHD )

The aircon compressor & mounting have been removed, but the double crankshaft pulley is clearly visible in the shot of the right side of the engine.
I think that the rocker cover is shaped like that to make room for the intake plumbing, The rocker cover isn't attractive, but i guess it's practical.

 Re: Engine Pic
hi everyone.
I also have an A15 motor with this type of black rocker cover.

I would also like to know what it's off.
(it may be of a fuel injected model, so that it gives more room for the necessary plumbing).

If anyone knows what model and year its off, I would love to hear from you. thanks.
