WARNING: The service manual page pictured here has the cold Valve Clearance specification incorrect.
My 1971 Factory Service Manual also has this incorrect. In the 1972 and 1973 revisions, they no longer list a COLD spec (they recommend only HOT adjustment).

COLD is 0.25 mm clearance (correct as in the photo). In parentheses it says "0.010 inch". This is what is wrong and too tight: it should be 0.013 inch COLD per other books. Testing proves this: Set it to 0.014 HOT, then re-measure after engine is COLD. It will have reduced to 0.013.
