Posted by: RICLAGE ****THIS IS FAKE**** I am sorry for mutilating DANIEL's Car but it was one of the best photos to do it.

This is an idea for a future 1200. I want to reduce the frontal area of the car in order to improve aerodynamics. If you reduce frontal area and keep (or reduce) Cx you can get faster with the same power. I have to admit that the design and the photo is quite poor. Reinforcement of the structure is a must and I was thinking about covering the back seat. The two rollbars are going to be stainless and the deflector at the front will not be made of glass evidently. The main problem is the Rain. Sugestions are wellcome.

I would leave to A pillars a little bit longer and use a 1/2 size windshield. Nothing across the top of the glass.
Next i would dump it at least 3inches all around. Actually, lower it a little more in front so it has a little rake.
And finally, yellow flames on the hood and fenders.

I thought about some sinks on the bottom of the car. I think that riding it will be quite similar to riding a bike. I was planing on wearing a helmet too. I think this is going to be a great fun car. I plan to buy a b110 since I think that it will look better than a b310 with no roof. It is more rounded.

The deflector will help with rain when the car is moving. However, when it stops nothing is going to help.

It fooled me too for a second. Tensandtwenties has said for a while now that a sedan is the way to go if you want a topless 1200. Looks good. I'd make the windscreen just a bit higher though, to deflect a bit more.
As for getting wet, I had a Toyota pickup that I had cut the center out of the roof. Sort of a poor man's targa. I could drive with the top out and not get a single drop of rain on me. Made it all the way from the racecar shop in Fort Worth to my dorm in Denton through a real "frog strangler" and only got drenched when I stopped to park.
Sniff, I miss that truck.
