 Re: Dats Low
New king spring lows in the front and leaves in the back reset 2"lower with an extra leaf added. All new monroe gas shocks all round and polyurethene bushes added. Handles like its on rails. And with all this and the 20mm swaybar there is hardly any body roll.

To my suprise I pulled out the front springs and they were already king spring lows but I still replaced them with the new ones. I actually thought the front would go a little lower but doesnt worry me. At least this way I can still steer without any gaurd rub.

Also it looks like the back sits much lower. It does but not as much as you think. 0.4 of an inch at max. I yhought this might upset the geometry but it has not. Does not understeer. All in all im happy with the stance and ride/handling. Its awesome. Now to get into some club racing.

Yep to hard to let the datto go. I had a long hard think one night and thought about the cars I was looking at getting and decided that the datto was my wisest investment. Ive already done alot of hard yards on it, it looks good, goes fast, handles well and turns heads.

Yes will look tuff seeing black and red dattos together. The colours of hell. Hurry up and get down to Brissie so I can have a partner in crime. Most people around here seem to have their dattos off the road at the moment.

I had a good look at the 1200 coupe i had bought & thought that it looked a bit "uphill" at the front, so i too fitted the King springs along with some gas shocks. The springs lowered it about 1-1/2 inches but the gas shocks pushed it back up a little bit. Now it has just a hint of foward rake & should ride well. I have a new rear sway bar hanging up in the shed that i think is 1200, & if so, i will fit it,
These cars don't need to be lowered much to look good,.... almost as good as a 1000 coupe The rear will remain stock,.... for now.
My 1200 coupe is registered now, so i will post a picture when i get home in a little over a week.
