Having searched www.brembo.com (amazing amount of information there) for a suitable brake upgrade solution, the BMW E30 disc brake seems like a possible candidate. 260 mm vented discs, and plenty of spares here in Sweden.

 Re: Brake upgrade
my neighbour has an E30 BMW !!! They're quite rare over here in AU. Its a 325e model if u see the badge on the back. They were the ultra fuel efficient BMW model back in the 80's. They also had a motor which was highly workable. U can bolt a current day 325i head onto it. Thanks for the brake details SwedishDatsunGuy.
