Thanks for the pics steve and the extra ballast
Im more than happy with results. She made 202 rwkw with 20psi in 5th both steve and myself on the back to stop it from wheelspining too much!!! driving in the car park afterwards was fun cant wait till sunday at bathurst on the track.

That was with narrower tyres than Andrew would normally run. Add to that the way the dyno slopes the car forward, making less weight on the back and the fact the backend couldnt be strapped down. I would say on the track it will still have traction issues but the way the engine develops its power steady instead of a sudden burst, will make the power more useable.

Wicked.. shame I couldn't have been there as another witness.

It'll be good to hear how it goes. I'll have to get mine to Yavuz ASAP for a REAL tune, instead of the 10 minute special.

You put a modified torana diff in your car a while back, how did it go.
Any details. I need one.

 Re: ca18det_man
Normo I bought a modified torana diff quite a while ago to put into my coupe was shortned ect and lsd.
Problem was its was only a UC 4 cylinder diff with puny axles not the V8 10 bolt 28spline axle as I was led to believe I have since sold that diff and fitted a H190 nissan diff.
Cheers Andrew

 Re: ca18det_man
The H190 is a very strong diff. 29 Spline axles semi floating axles ect.
I was kind of worried with the alloy carrier not being able to cope with the amount of torque.
Its still going strong. I have built a steel housing 4.11 and 4.3:1 for the next time I do a speed event the 1200 was hitting rev limit (7800) in 5th with the alloy 4.6 so I need a bit taller ratio.

Does your car have a lot of stress cracks, or does the cage help?

It was showing signs of stress with the bolt in 6 point alloy cage. The roof has riples in it and cracks in all 4 corners where the roof joins body. The new weld in cage has stiffened everything up hasnt moved since.
One day when and if I get financial I would like to get it all straight again and a new coat of paint . I cant see that hapening in the near future though.

 Re: ca18det_man
my coupe also cracked the paint on the A and C pillars before the cage went in. It must be cornering forces, because I don't have anything like that kind of power!
