so if you change gear at 6500 to 6800,what does the revs drop to.it'd be nice if it dropped
to about 4500,put it right back into the power band.it's a pity i have a commitment here in sydney on sunday,or i'd come up for a look.thats if i could get this a15 i've just dropped into the 120y started.

It's a whole new world for me!...
I make 100HP at 4800 rpm, it jumps to 200hp at 5000...

you could say it's a bit cammy.....

 Re: dyno results
Last time we dynoed had too much wheelspin and couldnt sit on back without tyres rubbing It made 158kw.
Now @ 15psi it makes 170rwkw (thats what I was running at wakefield) and with 20psi it made just over 200kw so 30kw gain with 5 psi extra aint too bad. We could have turned more boost into it but 20psi is a nice round figure Ill wait till I feel its getting slow LOL and put another few psi up her guts.
Dvldat its running a Gt25-28 400hp model
Tsillay Nothing wrong with big cams and carbs I still miss the sound of my old A series coming on song.
Rfast yeah its pretty quick I cant wait till the weekend hoping to get some incar vid if I finish the mounting in time.

What is the torque figure? I'm not sure how to read those metric charts

270 SAE horsepower. At the rear wheels, that is most impressive from 1.8 liters.

The graph dosn't show torque the other line is air fuel ratio. Im pretty sure one of the brainy guys (errol or harry) knows the formula for working out torque?? somethoing about teh amount of power it makes at certain revs??
I drove it up the road today with my good tyres it struggles for traction 1st and 2nd but 3rd gear hooks up nicely It pulls so hard its hard to comprehend.

I can't imagine what that much power would be like in a 1200!!! I was blown away by the improvement from my 116bhp at the wheels to the 146rwbhp engine I had last year... and you've got as good as double that!!! Jeezus!

What part of Bathurst are you using this weekend? wouldn't happen to include Conrod straight would it?

ddgonzal,
it looks like a peak torque of about 255ft-lb between 4700 - 5200rpm. but the peak is only half the story, its 243ft-lb at 4500, and as you can see from the power line, it just keeps on pulling from there.
