hey backfire, hope you don't mind ??
couple pics i had of your coupe from before you bought it
nice pick up, when i looked at it the owner was looking for around $2000 or so.
thought it had had a bit of work done to the suspension, strut top/tower holes redrilled, new shocks, springs, rubbers ?? engine had supposedly been rebuilt with a bit of balancing ?? and the 40mm solex carb, extractors and exhaust.

good strong base to start from

Nice work.

He did mention something about someone having a look at it in the paddock while he was at work one afternoon. I'm guess'n now that was you?

He even pulled out the photo album to show me some pics of when the shell was dragged (on trailer) home from the wreckers as a shell. Had photos of rust removal, all done in steel. Car has been done up for autocross.

That paddock was the car's home for nearly 2 years before it was sold.

I'll be bringing it back to road use. I've already ditched the boot strapps and rally mud flaps (anyone want em?). It came with a set of 14 inch standard alloys which I'm now thinking are off a 200B SX or something (he said SSS stanza but they are 13's arn't they?) but will need spacers as they foul on the brake calipers. The 205's look cool but the rims don't appeal, I might even put hubcaps on them.

Engine is an unknown at the moment, I think it is stock. I've already taken the sidedraught off through fear of it sucking the tire off the rim... Anyway, it's way to big for the 1200cc so I'm thinking that when the standard carb is tuned it will go better anyway (with half the fuel consumption).

Bring on the next club fang...er.. um I mean cruise
