DEFINITELY MY CUP OF TEA!

That's the one I have on my coupe right now, I love it and so does everyone else but yeah it wasn't cheap, however definitely ONE of a kind in the US. Those hoods had JUST come out in Japan when I bought mine there about 4 months ago. I think mine was one of the first ones because it just came on the market when I found it and I had to wait almost a month for them to make it and send it to me. It's not standard carbon fiber either, it's got some kind of silver weave mixed in with it and is nearly see through....quite awesome, super lightweight, and stronger than fiberglass! It also has provisions for stock hood trim, heat shield, and latch....a quality piece.

I am glad you like it AFRacer,

On the KB10 I think I will just stick with the factory option of matte black steel hood.

But as the 1200 didnt have that option I guess the carbon fibre hood is the next best thing.

work out at about $600....

Id love CF doors like available for the gtr.
For the GTR they weigh 8-15kg with lexan compared to almost 80-90kg for standard.

Yes it mounts exactly like the standard bonnet and has a fiberglass underframe.

Are you sure it's carbon fiber, not Spectra fiber? If you can almost see through it, that would indicate that it's not carbon. Spectra has one of the highest strength to weight ratios of any made made fiber, courtesy of Honeywell. Preferable, I think, to carbon. We use the rope at work. It's also used in fishing lines and body armor.

Honestly I couldn't tell you if it's carbon or the Spectra fiber you speak of, because the more I look at it compared to carbon fiber I'm thinking it's something else, but I don't know what unless it's just a different kind of carbon fiber?? Either way it's really cool!

I quite like it. Although it would look better with the GX bulge
