So how did it go?

I am guessing it worked a treat, maybe not ideal for long drives in summer, but great for the 1/4 mile pass.

always interested by the dry ice theory. has it brought the 1/4 times down? im asuming it would as for every 5 degree drop in intake temp is like 1-2 hp well so i have read,

PS: luv this wags it deserves best wheel standing datsun award

I spoke to the guys at ARE about these intercoolers some time back. They are great for 1/4 mile stuff but that is about all. I wanted to use one on my Sunny, but I was told the ICe would not last the 20mins duration of our races.

Great concept though as it brings the inlet temps down big time.....Perfesct for the 1/4 mile!

Hey, for circuit racing you could mount the intercooler in the cabin, and have a system for adding more ice automatically. Or you could do it by hand when roaring down the main straight ( not recommended )

I dont see why you couldnt load it down the main straight , many of the great grand prix drivers of the fifties used to duck behind the windshield to light up a ciggie down the main straight, it never did them any harm.
