Yes on Saturday it hit the wall after a big wheel stand.

Now why would you then go out the next day and do the same thing(that wasn't necessary)with the risk of doing damage to your car. When all you had to do was drop the rpm down on the line .If you don't run a fast pass on the day you want to it not the end of the world.

How can you say that you don't know anything about me ?

Well in big dollar cars like your talk about this is mostly caused by mechanical failures rather than driver error. These guys know what there doing and are playing for keeps.

If there are simple things that are in your control that will lower the chance of you having a crash why not do them?

In a sport like drag racing you will crash sooner or later. Even the best drivers in world like Tony Schumacher have had big crashes, but there

Killer all he has to do is throw on wheely bars and problem solved BUT im sure he Knows this his not an idiot.
He does it for the crowd after he hit the wall on saturday he ask if he could go back out and do a big launch for the crowd, He said he likes to get the crowd cheering and that he did, the crowd went wild everytime this car rolled up.
thats why he does it.

i'm still going to run with my theory that you don't really know what's going on. the internet lets you pretend and talk crap till the cows come home. (and theres nothing wrong with that until you start to pretend too much)

maybe you do know what you are talking about but your statement was dumb. its drag racing for crying out loud!!! if he didn't want to do massive wheelstands and run 9 second quarter mile times because he thought it was a little risky then i don't think he would have tubbed a little old 1200 jammed a moddified sr20 turbo motor in, added nitrous etc. and you always have the option of steering the car...

it runs 9's and he built it himself.... think he fluked it? i think there is a fair chance he has an idea about what he's doing. he wanted to wheelstand each and every time.

i'm not making a judgement on you (needing to know you) just on what you say

Lags your a good guy and I don't want to get in to a massive argument, so I'll just say this and then leave it at that.

You mite think that, but really the wheely bars must be incorporated to to the rear end as a whole because other wise they won't help you launch at all.

Yes he might get the crowd on there feet , but he'll look like an idiot if he puts it in the wall and the crowd itn't going to pay to fix his car.

If all you build a car for is to get people on there feet then way the hell would you waste your time and money.

Well you can think what you want me saying something isn't going to change your mind.

Yes thats ture, but why add more risk than you need to ?

Also launching with a big wheel stand isn't the fastest way down the track.

As I said guys that do this all day everday sometimes can't keep it off the wall and I'm sure he has no where near the skill level of them.

No, but as you said this is a work in progress and sometimes you just need to know that things need to be done and untill they are you should take it easy.

A well set up drag car won't do a big wheel stand off the line because whats is the point ?its not the fastest way down the track.

Your just asking for trouble when your car wheel stands like that.

Yeah and I'm sure that guy has been in the wall before.

What I'm saying is that you can't keep it off the wall for ever, but you can if you do the right things with your rear end.

comments like that only get taken seriously if you have some sort of credibility in regards to the subject. this car has progressively been developed and to this stage has scraped the wall once...

i reckon you don't have the faintest idea.

so what do you suggest it needs a number of the fastest rotary drag cars in Australia/World have recently had massive high speed accidents with their big dollar machines. got any tips for them while you are at it?

What rearend and supsension setup are you using on this monster? What is your setup? I believe I remember this having an SR20 like mine but I'm not pulling wheels off the ground! How much power is it putting down?

nitrous, an auto and transbrake with a massive turbo will get your front wheels up! still runs leaf springs.
