Do the KB10s use a half leaf spring setup on the front suspension? It looks like it .

The B10 range of cars do not use two quarter-eliptic springs, but a single semi-eliptic spring instead.
It resides in the inverted U of the crossmember under the engine.

Yeah you can call it an "elliptic" spring, but most people just call leaf springs "leaf springs".
The 1000 does use a single leaf spring pack, mounted transversely in the car. The way the leaf spring is mounted in the car, it acts like each front corner has only half a leaf spring. By this I mean - no matter the position of one front corners suspension, it will have no effect on the opposite side through the leaf spring.

Phunk correctly describes the way the suspension in the B10 chassis works & an independant suspension is supposed to be just exactly that, ... independant. So the fact that the action of one front wheel has no effect on the other is a good thing.

Good. Otherwise you'll be pushing the other wheel up in the air when you go in a pot hole or vice versa. This makes it fully indipendant and same as any fancey pants new double wishbone setup (well kinda).
