Re: front gaurd mods for bigger tyres 50 series aren't exactly common in 14". I have had a set or 195/55*14" Yokohamas that i got brand new from an importer, but they required a bit of pumping of the gaurd as well as lipping.
So I imagine a 195/50*15" would also. 195/50*15" are the same OD as the 185/60*14 pictured, so unless you have standard 1200 front end, i can't really see how you got them in without any mods to the gaurds.
I had adjustable castor rods at the time too, with a bit of extra castor wound on. But I seem to recall having to trim the front of the wheelarch even when I first put it all together with a 175/60*14 and the stanza front end and no adjustment on the castor rods - but you do get a bit of extra castor with the Stanza conversion due to the longer control arms anyway.

Re: front gaurd mods for bigger tyres As has been mentioned 185/60R14 and 195/50R15 are virtually identical in rolling diameter. What makes cutting the guards necessary is the extra castor. I run the same size rubber and they fitted without any rubbing till I installed adjustable castor rods. Regards Matty
