have you got a msd ignition system or somethin theres a hell of a lot of wires comeing from the plugs

that is a sweet looking engine bay it not to done or flashy just neat and shmick! good work

what kind of power are you geting out of it?

I too was wondereing about whats the go with the ignition side of things?

if an ignition system goes between the distributor and the plugs well yes it seams it has an ignition system

There was never any question about did it have an ignition system, just what kind it has. You know it looks strange as there is twice as many ignition leads on this engine.

This causes one to think whats the go here and what kind of system this is!

well im going to take that as a complimrnt as it was hard to tell if it was critisisem or sacasem or a compliment so i tokk it as the ovious to me

It was a worked A15 with big oval port JDM head and various NISMO go-fast items.

It was purported to make ~175hp @ the flywheel when it ran 50mm carbies.

Sadly, the previous owners that bought this car (and sold it after a few months) kept the 50's for themselves and replaced them with 44's which apparently reduced the performance considerably.

But that's a moot point now since Cel blew this puppy up recently (and Cel is not around here to either confirm or deny this rumor).

I was wondering why I hadn't from him (or anything about the car) for a long time...

It was not blown up, it had a bad cam.

The car puts out 214 horsepower to the rear wheels. The builder of the engine and car was in Japan with Tomei racing when he built two motors. One in my car the other is owned by Classic Datsun Motorsports. There was amazing work done to these motors.

This is the first time I am seeing this ignitin setup. When I talk with the builder I will ask him what type it is and post it. You can present setup next to this pic.

Webbs, can you post a scan of your dyno sheet? Or is the 214hp just an estimate from the engine builder?

Yeah looks good, what size A series is that and what mods have been done to the internals. How fast does it go? Looks like the exact same color as my old red one too!
