Hi All, This is the diff head out of my 1200 Coupe circuit car. To date i have never need to know what it was out of, until now, when a foreign object has destroyed the crown wheel and pinon. I have read the tech section and i am still confused. The housing is Aloy, it has a od of 185mm. The crown wheel measures 145mm od. It has 37.9 stamped on it beside the datsun symbol, then PS44.2, It also has the smaller of the two drive shaft flanges. Any ideas of what it may be out of, Or any surgestions on what i could use to adapt into the aloy housing.

Hi Paul, I reckon you've got a standard type 1200 wagon diff head and gears...4:1.1. The wagons had the alloy head. Hope your'e looking after that baby down there and remember if it ever needs a new home call me first....

yes,the studs holding the bearing caps onto the housing shows it's from a 1000.the 1200 h145's have bolts instead.

Since the ring gear is 145 mm and it says "Datsun", it must be an H145?

1200s have studs too. It's the H150 that has bolts.

H150
