Re: DiscoStu a couple of questions for you stu- what pulley are you using on the flywheel? has it been made specially for the job or is it a combo of 4AGZE & A15?
Did you have any hassles with the dizzy or dipstick, mounting the blower over that side?
310hp implies some serious boost- do-able but stretching things a bit.
Assuming that that is an SC12 (I havn't seen enough of them to be sure) , and the motor is built for a 'N/A equivalent' of 130hp then by my calcs, you will need in the order of 20psi, a ratio of 1:1.47 on the blower(spinning to 10,300rpm) 450cfm of flow...... assuming 100% efficiency of the blower i.e 100hp n/a = 200 hp at 14.7 psi boost.

Re: DiscoStu Looks to me like an s/c14. Is the carb a 350, or a 500? I've just upgraded mine to a 350 holley from a 32/36 weber. You may find that the standard 1/4 fuel line wont be able to keep up. I hope you're planning to use silicon hose to join the pipes. A work of advise, afix a bracket of some decription to the tube which attaches to the blower disharge neck. My mates got an S/c12 on a rear drive 323 wagon. When it fires up and the blower starts to make a bit of heat, to blower tries to blow the pipe off. You really oughta tie it down. I'd bee quite interested as to what kind of rwhp it makes. I think we all are. Supercharging is the shizzle, I should have mine going again tommorow with the new carb and fuel supply. There's drags at easter too. Can't wait.

Re: DiscoStu I'm actually going to change the Rocker Cover. I'm working on a Design to have the Word "DATSUN" written in Caligraphy then imposed on the cover. Not sure if I can do it yet but I'll give it a damn good try.

Re: DiscoStu Great looking setup Stu, nice and simple.
310HP sounds optimistic, I will be interested to see how it goes.
How did you get the ute down to 593KG?

Re: DiscoStu Nah, Pro Engines in Queanbeyan (Just Outside Canberra) Did most of the work. Greg Tarlington and his team did a great Job on the motor but I've done all the rest. She's got copper gasket and bored out to take 1500 pistons. Blue Printed and Balanced. She's gonna be a mean streeter. What did you want to know about the horsepower?

Re: DiscoStu Quote: Poster: DiscoStu Date: 2006/4/7 14:10:06 and bored out to take 1500 pistons. How much did it need to be bored before the 1500 [A15?] pistons would fit?

Re: DiscoStu Quote: How much did it need to be bored before the 1500 [A15?] pistons A15 and A14 have the same bore. It is 76mm compared to only 73mm for the A12. By the way, the blower mounting looks nice. The curve of the bracket looks tough.
