 Re: Datsun SR20(GT35R) UTE I am using standard SR20 5 speed Gearbox with shorted toyota hilux 8" differential with 4:11 gear ratio and shorted toyota Hiace driveshaft welded to the SR20 yoke .Stock leaf spring with custom made tractionbars. I haven't test it on the race track yet!! Still saving for my 850cc injectors. Need more power I want to put a good time and scared the #### of the people!!! Traction on the road is a little slippery but ones it gets the traction it will stick you in the seats!!!!

Re: Datsun SR20(GT35R) UTE I have never seen Datsun 1200 ute body panels offered for sale in USA -- not even through eBay or aftermarket.
But the hood/bonnet, grille, fenders(guards/wings) -- the whole front of the vehicle -- are the same as the sedan and coupe.
You can get the special ute panels from Nissan South Africa (example: rear quarters) from Australia (aftermarket panels), and other places. Maybe South America, since there was a ute factory there.
Doors are the same as 4-drs but we didn't get 4-drs here either, you can get those out of Europe maybe.

Re: Datsun SR20(GT35R) UTE I don't have a ute, but Yes there is one or two in California. We can get all the parts, except for body panels, they are the same as Datsun 1200 sedan & coupe or other datsuns.

Re: Datsun SR20(GT35R) UTE thats a big turbo!  based on power to weight ratio's im sure our datsuns are some of the quickest cars in the world. compared to lambos and porsches... to bad other components such as suspension and brakes arent quite as refined. say 300kwatw with a weight of 780kgs how does that compare to a 911? |
